The name Kaalvoet Studio originated from a desire to go back to the basics. (Kaalvoet means barefoot in english) This relates from design principles all the way through to the process. Although we use modern day equipment to facilitate our ideas and realise our designs we still use the basic principles to make it happen.
We acquired our own laser cutter in 2011 and have since fulfilled many clients requests. We since expanded our family and acquired a cnc router and vinyl cutter. This makes us an elite prototyping workshop and maker space.
Leadership Team
We are a small team with big personalities and diverse tastes. We have different views on many things, but we share a passion for creating designs and products that contribute to society. We want to build our customers' confidence in their self expression.
Our leadership team is a tight-knit group of friends with respective backgrounds in Architecture, Education, and Construction.. We share a passion for design and for its ability to translate a personality into a visible statement. We are based in the South Africa but are bringing style to anywhere we ship.
